Construction workers will be able to improve their skills while building the Western Sydney International Airport due to a partnership with TAFE New South Wales. Under the Western Sydney City Deal, the TAFE Skills Exchange will be established at the airport construction site to provide on the job training.
Up to 250 workers each year will be trained in earthmoving, civil construction, safety or traffic control with the potential for growth as the project progresses. Cities and Urban Infrastructure Minister, Alan Tudge, said the announcement will benefit hundreds of people who are already working on the airport’s delivery. Continue here
