Former Holden Site’s Transformation to Tech Hub Begins

The Victorian government is investing $179.4 million to transform the former General Motors Holden site into the Fishermans Bend Innovation Precinct.

Stage one of the project involves remediation of the 32ha site and the completion of infrastructure and services to make an investment-ready precinct by 2024.

Development Victoria bought the former GMH site in 2017 and is leading the project to remake the precinct, which was where the first mass-produced Australian car, the Holden 48-215, also known as the FX, was built. Continue here
