SA School Construction Boosts Building Jobs

A $1.3 billion education capital works program will support hundreds of South Australian construction jobs over the next 18 months as part of the state’s COVID-19 economic recovery.

Concept designs have been released on two high school upgrade projects worth around $75 million.

The Norwood Morialta High School upgrade aims to increase the capacity of its Parade campus to 1700 students to co-locate all year levels on one site. The $51.95 million upgrade includes the construction of a three-story middle school building with a rooftop play space, a new two-story building for the school’s technical and specialist precinct, improved gym facilities, a new façade entry statement and new landscaping, car parks and sports courts.
